In this former ochre factory created by those who began the whole adventure in 1871, you can visit and discover basins, ovens, red and yellow ochre mills and a garden used to grow plants for dyeing purposes. The OKHRA Association is open to both the public and professionals for guided tours, training sessions, and educational workshops for children during the school year and vacation, conferences, practical advice on how to use the hues. Temporary exhibitions are also available. See what’s scheduled, at the web site: www.okhra.com There’s also a boutique, numerous books on colours, flasks of pigments, binders, gums and more. You can rent bikes on the spot and head out to explore the village of Roussillon and the ochre landscapes of the Luberon. Free admission for under 10's.
