In La Tour-d’Aigues, in the southern Luberon, Maison Rottier is breathing new life into artisanal leather goods. Founded in 2020 by Daniella, a designer trained at a leading luxury fashion house, this young brand is already establishing itself as a benchmark for responsible ‘Made in France’ products. And beyond opening the doors of the workshop to discover its collections, why not try your hand at the art of making your own bag or purse!
Creative workshops for everyone
These beginner-level workshops last between four and five hours. Participants can choose to create a bag or a bum bag, selecting the buckle, colours and model from the three options available. They then leave with their personalised creation, which can be marked with their initials if they wish.
For a simpler approach, the ‘accessories’ workshop allows you to design a bull leather belt and matching coin purse, without any sewing.
An authentic and responsible experience
The Maison Rottier workshops are not limited to a simple technical introduction: they invite everyone to immerse themselves in the world of leather and discover from the inside the techniques that bring a piece of leather goods to life, all in a simple and friendly atmosphere.
The company has opted for an eco-responsible production model: the leathers used – calf, cow, lamb or bull – come exclusively from French and Italian tanneries that comply with European REACH standards, guaranteeing quality, traceability and respect for the environment; the collections are produced in small batches or on demand to limit stock; and even leather scraps are given a second life, transformed into clever accessories such as purses or jewellery.
A concrete way of combining luxury, sustainability and creativity.
