Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s Pavillon Bouachon wine cellar (formerly Pavillon des Vins) in the heart of the village has been transformed into a brand new space after 18 months of renovation work. With a lovely wine tasting area bathed in natural light, wooden rafters in its big reception room, and new aging cellars, this great venue continues to offer popular themed wine-tasting workshops.
New, quirky accommodation has just opened this summer in the heart of the famous vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Les Cabanes des Grands Cépages. 10 luxurious wooden cabins have been constructed on the turquoise waters of Lac de la Lionne, whether on stilts, floating on the water or semi-troglodyte. Between now and 2019, 10 more cabins will be built.
At Châteauneuf-du-Pape, two cellars, the Cellier des Princes and the Domaine de Nalys, offer the opportunity to discover the vineyard, one by bike, the other on foot, and finish your tour with a tasting of wines of the appellation and a picnic of local products.
