If there was a list of towns and regions with the most beautiful aerial views, you can bet that Vaucluse and Avignon would be on it. The Medieval city seemingly entwined within its city walls, nestled against the Rhône and dominated by its vast Gothic palace, and a little further afield, the Luberon mountain range with its hilltop villages, the legendary Mont Ventoux, and the rippling vineyards of the Dentelles de Montmirail…These are just some of the dream landscapes that you can discover during one of Easy Helico’s sightseeing flights.
Although Avignon’s Congress Centre, which boasts an unrivalled historic location, housed in the large rooms of the Palace of the Popes, regularly steals the limelight, the Exhibition Centre is certainly not short of resources for organising events. In particular, it is the only place capable of accommodating large numbers (seats 900 in lecture theatre layout) and has just undergone a complete facelift.
Its reopening after a year’s closure will bring joy to many: this 17th Century manor house in the midst of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard, not only has two very large reception halls, but also very beautiful outdoor areas for cocktails and accommodation for thirty people.
A newcomer in Provence in the field of corporate seminars and incentives, Mistral Adventura is driven by the spirit of “Nature”: they are accustomed to adventure treks and had already scoured the finest spots on the Planet before setting up their “outdoor experience” activity in the Vaucluse: orienteering in the Luberon Massif and Mont-Ventoux, mountain biking, zip-lining, treasure hunts with GPS, but also Sumo wrestling and human Baby-Foot on inflatable structures… No need to go bungee-jumping in New Zealand to boost your Sales Force’s morale!
We recently updated the list of venues for seminars and events on our site. For each group its favourite setting: unusual (quarries in the Luberon Mountains or a Penitents’ Chapel), historic or prestigious (Popes’ Palace in Avignon or Ancient Roman Theatre in Orange), charming (combining ‘chambres d’hôtes’, ‘gîtes’ or winegrowing estates), low-budget (‘gîtes’ out in the countryside)…
The Espace de l’Hers is a private residence which offers its exceptional location, a skilful mixture of the ancient and contemporary in the heart of the vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape, for turnkey services ranging from accommodation to the organisation of private events or seminars, with wine tasting, gastronomic, cultural and sporting activities.
Right in the historic centre of Avignon, a stone’s throw from the Palace of the Popes, Le Petit Louvre is what a convention centre should be: developed amongst ancient stones, central, on a human scale. And La Palmeraie, on the Ile de la Barthelasse, is perfect for a seminar away from the hustle and bustle of the town, in a verdant setting, yet with a view over the Palace of the Popes.
