Every Monday and Friday morning, a guide takes your individual English-speaking clients on a 3-hr tour of the historic centre of Avignon, and into the Palace of the Popes (with a priority-access ticket). A regular tour, that’s easily booked, telling the full story of when the Papal seat was in Avignon. And the icing on the cake: pre-lunch drinks in an unusual setting to round the morning off.
From 1 April to 31 October, the agency Provence Réservation lays on guided tours of Avignon for individuals, in English. From 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, a guide takes them on a 3-hr tour through the alleyways of the historic centre and up the city walls to admire the amazing view of the rooftops, the meandering river Rhône, the famous Pont d’Avignon and surroundings.
The group’s priority-access ticket will provide swift admission to the Palace of the Popes and the guide will continue to provide commentary in the greatest Gothic Palace in Europe, the Papal seat throughout the 14th century.
The tour is wrapped up with pre-lunch drinks in an unusual, historic setting.
€25 /child (from 4 to 11 years old)
