The Château de Sannes is a stunning property, a 17th-century château set in grounds with French formal gardens. The 74 hectares of land surrounding the property are mostly planted with vines and olive trees, all farmed organically.

A wine cellar and shop were added in 2020, and to complement the wine tour and tastings available, visitors can also explore the educational trail or choose from a host of other activities:
Tastings:
Naturally, wine tastings are free and there is no need to book for individuals, however, booking is required for groups. Tastings are held all year round, from Tuesday to Saturday.

Discovery of the cellar and wine tasting
ime-permitting, we will explore the estate’s winemaking facilities (stainless steel vats, oak barrels etc.) before tasting different cuvées.

Exploring the grounds?
As well as a tour of the winery, the estate also invites visitors to follow the paths through vineyards, woods, Moulin de Sannes, and the formal gardens to learn more about the lifecycle of the vine. Throughout the year upon prior booking

Piano recital by candlelight
On set days, Château de Sannes organises “Les Concerts de Sannes”, alongside a tasting of the estate’s wines. On request, you can enjoy a candlelit piano recital, with or without a meal, but of course with a spot of wine tasting.

Watercolour workshop
Painter Petra Wauters offers advanced training courses in watercolour techniques and to give the participants’ creativity free reign, the estate stays entirely open. Demonstrations are shown for each subject studied: the grounds, gardens, magnolia path and fields of olive trees and lavender. The day comes to a close with a tasting of the estate wines.
Price: €130 for the full day and €60 for half the day
